Delegates to the Badger Girls and Badger Boys State were recently selected at the Owen-Withee High School. The selections were made by the faculty according to procedures established by the Wisconsin American Legion and The Wisconsin American Legion Auxiliary.

The criteria for selections includes scholarship, community and school participation, good character, and acceptability to the program.

Badger Girl is Lorrie Zaborowski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Zaborowski of Owen, and alternate, Anne Steiner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Steiner of Withee.

Badger Boy is Paul Pabich, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Pabich, Owen, and alternate is Brian Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Loren Miller, Owen.

Badger Girls State will be held June 7 – 14 on the Madison campus, whole Badger Boys State will be held at Ripon College, Ripon, June 14 – 21.

The Van Huizen-Fritz American Legion Post 123, Legion and Auxiliary, Owen, sponsor the students.
