Dolores Lucy Wnek was born on December 13, 1927, in rural Thorp, WI, the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Nowobielski) Wnek. She was raised on the family farm and received her education at area schools, graduating from Thorp High School in 1945. After completing her education, Dolores worked in the office at the Blue Moon Cheese Factory, in Thorp, for two years. She was united in marriage to Stanley J. Arciszewski on October 11, 1947, at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Thorp. After their marriage, they took over Stanley's family farm, in the Town of Reseburg, and farmed until retiring in 1986. They continued to live on the farm until 2008, at which time they moved to Morgan Plaza in the City of Thorp. Over the years, she became a part of that "close-knit family," and forged many friendships there. Dolores moved to Traditions Assisted Living in January 2020. Although her stay at Traditions was short, she was making it her home and enjoyed participating in the activities there.

She had many interests, including quilting and baking, especially making pierogis. But most of all, Dolores loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren

Dolores was a member of St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church and its PCCW. For many years, she wrote the Bobb's Mill news column and the Morgan Plaza news column for The Thorp Courier.

She is survived by her three children: Arlene (Dennis) Meyer of Thorp, Nancy (Tom) Bogumill of Wausau, and Bill (Trish) Arciszewski of Thorp; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren: Christie Nystrom (Vern) and their children Braylen and Macy, Lindsey Wright (Travis) and their children Finley and Regan, Jeff Meyer (Trisha) and their son Evan, Corrie Bohm (Chad) and their children Miles and Olivia, Molly Meyer Swope (Shane), Nicole Barreiro and her daughter Isabel, Krista Haas (Lance) and their children Maddie, Brek and Ayla, Heidi Arciszewski (Kelly) and son Huxley; one brother: Robert (Antoinette) Wnek of Altoona; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stanley, on February 1, 2013; and two sisters: Louise Sobczynski and Florence Lazowski.
