Mr. and Mrs. Michael Kalland of Minneapolis have recently purchased the Lunch Box at Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) from John Kafton, who due to ill health, closed the café. They will be opened for business today, November 5, 1975, and plan to follow pretty much the same pattern Mr. Kafton had serving breakfast, lunch, with a special of the day, and supper. Also they will be open all day ready to serve afternoon coffee and lunches, ice cream cones, and malted milks.

Mr. Kalland was the former Dawn Petke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Petke, and for the past five years has been living and employed in Minneapolis as a computer and key punch operator. Mr. Kalland is employed in Minneapolis as a carpet layer. They have one daughter, Michelle, age two. At the present time they have been residing with her parents, but will be moving to Withee in the future. The Kallands are happy to be able to return to Withee and enjoy life in the smaller town.

The Kallands have employed Ginny Isaacs to serve as their waitress and restaurant help, as she has been doing in the past. Past customers of the Lunch Box will be happy to enjoy the services of the Lunch Box with its reopening.
