Mr. and Mrs. Michael Lee Myers, who were married September 20 in ceremonies performed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood, are making their home in Independence.

The Rev. Robert Houston officiated at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony for the former Miss Ritajean Carteron, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Carteron of Greenwood and the son of Mr and Mrs, gerald Myers of Arcadia. A reception followed in the parish hall.

A bouquet of yellow and white daisies with baby’s breath and white ribbons accented the bride’s entrained gown of white knit crepe featuring white lace sleeves and lace bodice trim. The gown was accessorized by the First Holy Communion cross. The bride’s father presented her in marriage.

Attendants were Miss Debbie Zepaltas of Eau Claire and Edward Brux of Greenwood. Miss Zepaltas’ gown of light blue polyester knit featured a short matching hooded jacket. Her flowers were yellow and white daisies and baby’s breath with yellow ribbons.

Ushering duties were shared by Ronald Carteron of New Mexico and Rich Ermilio of Lombard, Il.

Music at the wedding was by Thomas Zepaltas, Denis Carteron and Kathy Zepaltas were the vocalists.

The new Mrs. Myers is a graduate of Greenwood High School. She is employed by a bakery in Independence. Her husband, an Arcadia High School graduate, is employed as a baker at an Arcadia bakery.
