College Notes (Honors – Fall Sem. 2019)

Bailey Cichon, a University of Iowa student from Greenwood, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2019 semester. Cichon’s major is journalism and mass communication in the university’s College of Liberal Art and Sciences.

To make the list, Cichon had to achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher on 12 semester hours or more of graded coursework during the semester with no semester hours of “I” (incomplete) or “O” (no grade reported).
The University of Iowa is in Iowa City.

Ean Rau of Abbotsford has been named to the Knox College Dean’s List of Distinguished Students for the 2019 fall term. To be named to the dean’s list, a student must have earned at least 2.5 credits in the term, with a GPA of 3.6 or better (on a 4.0 scale).

A graduate of Abbotsford High School, Rau is an undeclared major at Knox.

Joseph Anason of Neillsville has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2019 semester at Marquette University in Milwaukee. Anason is pursuing a bachelor of science in accounting.

More than 900 students have been named to the Carthage College dean’s list for the fall 2019 semester. Dean’s list honors are accorded to Carthage students who achieve a minimum 3.5 GPA while carrying at least 14 credit hours during a semester.

Among the students named to the list were Kristina Hull of Colby and Mikayla Vittallo of Owen.

Carthage College is in Kenosha.

Winona State University in Winona, MN, has announced the dean’s list for the 2019 fall semester. To be named to the dean’s list, a student must be an undergraduate enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours for a grade) and achieve a minimum GPA of 3.5.

Danielle Pfeiffer and Jocelyn Thur, both of Neillsville, made the list.

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay has made public the names of undergraduate students receiving semester honors for the fall 2019 semester. Students who earn a 4.0 GPA, which represents all “A” grades, receive highest honors. High honors go to students earning 3.99 to 3.75 GPAs. Honors ae given to students earning 3.74 to 3.50 GPAs.

All of the students listed were full-time students in the fall term, earning 12 or more credits of graded coursework. This list includes all four UW-Green Bay campuses (Green Bay, Marinette, Manitowoc and Sheboygan).
