Reynolds, Mary Ann (31 JAN 1930 – 28 FEB 2020)

Mary Ann Reynolds, age 90, of Dorchester, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, Feb. 28, 2020, at the Abbotsford Health Care Center under the tender care of hospice.

A Mass of Christian burial was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at Saint Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester. Father Timothy Oudenhoven presided. Interment followed at Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends were welcomed from 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the church. There was also a Rosary service at 8:45 a.m. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Dorchester was entrusted with the arrangements.

Mary Ann was born on Jan. 31, 1930, the daughter of Frances and Lucy (Wagner) Schopper in Dorchester. She attended Berry School and Dor-Abby High School. On Oct. 29, 1949, Mary Ann was united in marriage to Jerome Reynolds in Dorchester. He preceded her in death on Nov. 8, 2002.

Mary Ann was a housewife and mother and raised three boys. She was a member of the St. Louis PCCW and the Lucky 13 Homemakers. Mary Ann enjoyed gardening, bird watching, feeding the neighborhood cats and traveling. She was instrumental in getting her father’s log house moved to Colby. During the summer, she would offer tours and tell her family and visitors about life during that time period. Mary Ann was a member of the Clark County Historical Society. Most importantly, she cherished her family.

Mary Ann is survived by her two sons: Dennis (Kathleen) Reynolds of Dorchester and Steven (Tammie) Reynolds of Medford; a daughter-in-law, Linda Albrecht Reynolds of Medford; eight grandchildren: Catina (Lacey) King, Yolanda (Seth) Rosengarten, Cari Reynolds, Stacey (Lonnie) Marcott, Kimberly Reynolds (Doug Thomas), Amber (Bob) Schantner, Ashley (Craig) Hamilton and Ann Reynolds; 16 great-grandchildren: Maryann, Kora, Malayna, Daelyn, Laina, Lakota, Austin, Alex, Ashton, Addison, Aubrianna, Abby, Hailey, Sidney, Leah and Paige. She is further survived by her sister, Joan (Donald) Kempf of Wausau; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerome; her son, Daniel; and two sisters: Delores Elliott and Dorothy Jirschele.
