Kowalski, Joseph (28 NOV 1882 – 16 JUN 1972)

Joseph Kowalski, 89, Route 2, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), died Friday the 16th of June 1972 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.

Funeral services were held on Monday, June 19th at St. Hedwig's Chapel, with Reverend John Puerner officiating. Burial was made in (Old) St. Hedwig's Catholic Cemetery.

Mr. Kowalski was born November 28th, 1882 in Poland, coming to this country as a young man, and lived in Joliet, Illinois. Then he moved with his parents to the Thorp vicinity.

He was united in marriage November 6th, 1912 in Thorp, to Mary Cutkowski.

Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Alice Czyzewicz, one son, Mr. Fred Kowalski, one sister, Mrs. John (Ann) Burzynski of Stanley, two brothers, Frank of Thorp and John of Stanley.

Pallbearers were Mr. Alex Sliwka, John Navarre, Peter Tomkowiak, Ed Zaborowski, Clarence Ruff and Lyle Wampole.
