The class of 1947 Thorp High School held their 25th class reunion at the
American Legion Hall Saturday evening, July 22, 1972, with 24 members and their
spouses attending.
The dining room was decorated with red and white streamers, which were the class
colors, red, roses and red rose napkins, the class flowers, decorated the table.
Mrs. Louise Misfeldt, who incidentally was some of the members' 3rd and 4th
grade teacher, furnished a little red schoolhouse and a graduate doll as part of
the décor.
A cocktail hour preceded the 7:00 banquet. A short prayer was said in memory of
three deceased members who were: Butch Pelc, Walter Szpara, and Tom Zarada.
Rich Polnaszek led the program as master of ceremonies, with each class member
introducing their spouse and briefly telling about their 25 years. Letters were
read from some of the members who could not attend. A large poster with all the
graduates pictures was on the wall. Those present inquired about the members
that were not present, which the committee tried to fill them in on.
It was decided to have the next reunion in five years, with Jerry Herman as
chairman. Dorothy Spivak asked that a list with all addresses be sent to each
member in order to keep in touch with each other.

given out. A special thanks was given to Audrey and the committee.
