A fire on the Jaskot farm operated by Ray, Albin, and Mary Jaskot caused a heavy financial loss when fire broke out in the barn about 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 1972.

Their farm is located in the town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.), 7 miles south, 1 ½ miles east of Thorp on the north side of the road.

About 13 head of young stock is reported to have been lost by the fire, when the barn was completely burned to the ground.

Also lost was a manure spreader, milking equipment, hay and two silos.

The Thorp Fire Department truck made the call and members reported cause of the fire was unknown.
