Ebben, Deborah K. (16 SEP 1972)

St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Thorp, was the scene for the two p.m. marriage ceremony performed by Reverend F. Brockman for Miss Deborah K. Ebben and Wayne J. Seeger on Saturday, September 16th, 1972. Organist was Roger Truckey, with Joe Possley as soloist.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Ebben, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. and Mrs. John Seeger, Racine.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white crepe in an empire silhouette. The bodice and long sleeves were of Venice lace and satin ribbon accented the modified waistline. Her long mantilla gave the outfit a total look. Venice lace completely edged the veil. A raised caplet of Venice lace, seed pearls and crystals held the veil. She carried a colonial bouquet of bridal pin and Mary Davor red sweethearts, with baby’s breath throughout the bouquet.

Mrs. Lynn Vetterkind, friend of the bride, was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Miss Jane Ebben, Miss Nancie Ebben and Miss Pam Ebben, sister of the bride, and Miss Joyce Hedler, friend of the bride. They wore orchid floral print georgette over taffeta gowns styled with high self-ruffle necklines, bishop sleeves, velvet ribbon trim at modified waistline, and gathered skirt with flounce edge. Each wore orchid cornflowers and white stephanotis headbands in their hair and carried orchid and white long stem mums.

Dan Kramer, friend of the groom, was best man, with groomsmen Tim Thibedeau, Dick Seeger, Neil Seeger, and Lynn Vetterkind. Ushers were Mike Hale and Jim Slowiak.

A supper and reception for three hundred and fifty guests was held at the Thorp American Legion Hall, with a dance in the evening with music by Jerry Wilen Band.
