Goetz, Romie William (23 March 1907-6 June 1993)

NEILLSVILLE---Romie William Goetz, 86, Neillsville, formerly of Loyal, died Sunday at Neillsville Memorial Nursing Home.

Private family services will be held at Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, with the Rev. Joseph Henseler officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Loyal and family members will serve as pallbearers.

He was born March 23, 1907, in Loyal, to the late John and Margaret (Newhouse) Goetz. He attended school in the Loyal area. He married Della Conrad and she died August 7, 1972.

After his education, he remained in the Loyal area and farmed all of his adult working life in Hientown, rural Loyal. He moved to Neillsville in October 1972,

Survivors include two children, Kenneth Goetz of Neillsville and Mrs. Arlene Marslender of Lake Delton; two sisters, Margaret Fenner of South St. Paul, Minnesota and Mrs. Herman (Lucille) Noeldner of Loyal; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was also predeceased by one sister, Florence Becker.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his name to Neillsville Memorial Home.
