Hammond, George (9 March 1913-19 December 1986)

LOYAL---Services were held today at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, for George Hammond, 73, Loyal, who died Friday at Neillsville Memorial Hospital.

The Rev. Dennis Lynch officiated at services and burial was in St. Anthony's Cametery.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Mike, Mark and Kevin Dusso, Dan and Dennis Hebert, and Donald Hammond.

He was born March 9, 1913 , in Richland County to Charles and Sarah Hammond and was educated at Granton Schools. He married Adeline Gall, August 29, 1936, at St. Anthony's Church. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary this year. She survives.

He worked at various jobs including 13 years at Northside Elevator, Loyal, and at Spencer Sports, Spencer.

Surviving, besides his wife, are two daughters, Mrs. Ray (Rose Nancy) Dusso, Menomonie, and Mrs. Gary (Maryann) Neustedt, Loyal; a son, William, Marshfield; a sister, Mrs. Martin (Ruth H.) Garbisch, Williamsburg, Virginia; a brother, John Hammond, Granton; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, two sons, James and Jerome, a grandson, a sister, and eight brothers.
