Hoeser, Joseph (30 April 1907-20 October 1998)

Joseph J. Hoeser, 91. Loyal, died Tuesday, October 20, 1998 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Joseph J. Hoeser was born on April 30, 1907, in the town of York, Heintown, to George and Barbara (nee Goetz) Hoeser. He was raised on the family farm and educated at Pleasant View country school. On June 14, 1933, he was united in marriage to Frieda Putzel at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. He resided on and farmed his parents' farm until moving into Loyal in 1997. He also worked at Roddis/Weyerhauser for 22 years, and helped Joe Magadenz white-wash barns for 18 years. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and enjoyed farming and animals.

Survivors include his wife, Frieda, of Loyal; five sons, Clyde(Donna) Hoeser, Janesville, Fr. Jerome Hoeser, Mosinee, Allan (JoAnn) Hoeser, Madison, and Thomas (Monica) Hoeser, Spokane, Washington; two daughters, Sandra Hoeser, Fort Worth, Texas, and Therese Hoeser, Marathon; nine grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Katie Hunsel, Circle, Montana; and a brother, Leon (Florence) Hoeser, Loyal. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Otto and Frank; and six sisters, Anna Dougherty, Tress Wangen, Mary Breitbach, Bertha Breitbach, Rose Schuld and Sophie Hoeser.

Services will be Friday, October 23, 1998, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. Bishop Raymond Burke, Rev. Jerome Hoeser and Rev. Roman Kaiser will concelebrate. Burial will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Loyal. Visitation will beat the Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal. A prayer service will be conducted today.
