Dale Seidel (12 May 1932 - 18 Oct 2005)

Dale Seidel, 73, Dorchester, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital Palliative Care, Marshfield.

He was born on May 12, 1932, in Medford, the son of George and Myrtle (Schultz) Seidel. He was a graduate of Dorchester High School and served his country with the U.S. Army in Germany. Mr. Seidel and Jean Younker were united in marriage on Oct 1, 1960, at St. Louis Catholic Church.

He was employed with Kraft Foods in Milan from 1957 to 1989 as a cheesemaker. He enjoyed the outdoors, working in the woods, fishing, carpentry and his strawberry farm.

Mr. Seidel is survived by his wife; his children, Joseph (Rosemary) Seidel, Abbotsford, and Debra (Ken) Fischer, Dorchester; six grandchildren; and a brother, Gerald Seidel, Virginia Beach, Va.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Myrtle Seidel; stepfather, George Smith; and a sister, Carol Klocke.

A memorial service was held Oct. 21 at St. Louis Catholic Church, Dorchester; with Father Paul Gitter presiding. Inurnment was in the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.
