Christophersen, Lynn Marie (Marriage – 14 February 1976)

Upon their return from a wedding trip to Arizona, Mr. and Mrs. Rory M. Van Winkle will make their home on Rt. 1 , Withee. The Van Winkles were married February 14 in a 3 p.m. ceremony performed by the Rev Lloyd Yaggie at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Withee, and honored afterwards, at a reception at The Sword in Colby.

Mrs. Van Winkle is the former Miss Lynn Marie Christophersen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Christophersen, Owen. The groom is the son of Mrs. Jan Van Winkle, Racine, and William Van Winkle, Wychoff, N.J.

Presented in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in an entrained gown of angelskin peau with imported Chantilly lace fashioning the stand-up collar, defining the bodice and accenting the Renaissance sleeves. A cap headpiece held her triple-tiered, elbow-length veil. She carried a white angora muff decorated with three red sweetheart roses with pink ribbon and streamers.

Miss Cheryl Christophersen, sister of the bride, was her maid of honor; Miss Gayla Bonk, Baraboo, was the bridesmaid. Miss Kim Christophersen attended her sister as junior bridesmaid. Their long-sleeved pink gowns featured bodices of red velvet. Each carried a single, long-stemmed red rose with streamers.

Tom Galarowitz, Withee, served as bestman and Dick Peterson, Curtiss, as groomsman. Acting as ushers were Bill Van Winkle, Menomonie, and Jim Van Winkle, River Falls.

Miss Louise Hansen was the organist. Soloist Jim Herrick was accompanied by Brad Gilbertson.

The bride and groom are 1972 and 1971 graduates respectively, of Owen-Withee High School. She has been employed in Milan, and He owns a business place in Withee.
