Schwan, Martha (2 January 1883-27 October 1967)

LOYAL-- Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church here Monday for Mrs. Martha Schwan, 84, Route 1, Loyal, who died Friday night at Marshfield, where she had been a patient for six weeks. The Rev. A. M. Moldenhauer will officiate and burial will be made in the Loyal Cemetery. Visitations will be at the Mrye Funeral Home in Loyal.

The former Martha Luther was born in Watertowm, Wisconsin, January 2, 1883 and was married on June 1, 1904 at Loyal to Otto Schwan, who preceded her in death on November 22, 1951.

Since her marriage she had resided in beaver township.

She is survived by two sons, Donald Schwan, Loyal, and Ernest Schwan, Melrose Park, Illinois; two daughters, Mrs. Conrad (Esther) Olsen, Marshfield, and Mrs. Albert Foelske, Loyal; five brothers, Otto, Marshfield, Emil, Tomahawk; Frank, Spokane, Washington; Martin, Portland, Oregon; and John, Wausau; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Harold. Mrs. Schwan was a member of trinity Lutheran Church.
