Wolfe, Nancy L. (Marriage – 3 April 1976)

St. John’s Lutheran Church in Riplinger was the scene Saturday, April 3, of the 2 o’clock wedding of Nancy L. Wolfe, Rt. 1 Spencer, to Rodney M. Delo, Rt. 1, Loyal.

The new Mrs. Delo is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gaetz of Rt. 1 Spencer; he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Delo of Rt. 1 Loyal.

The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Paul Ault, pastor of the churches at North Spencer and Riplinger.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a princess-style gown adorned with Venice lace at the neck and around the cuffs of her bishop sleeves. Her skirt flowed into a chapel-length train. Two layers of Venice lace and ruffles adorned the bottom.

To complete the total bridal appearance, she wore a chapel-length mantilla, edged in matching Venice Lace. She carried a bouquet of “Forever” roses.

Matron of honor was Mrs. Dan (Cathy) Buss of Colby; and bridesmaids were Miss Sharon Gaetz of Spencer and Mrs. Leslie (Sheila) Delo of Janesville.

The bridesmaids and flower girls wore Empire-style gowns of ivory with floral prints the color of old rose. Lace adorned the necks and sleeves of their dresses, accenting the ruffles. Each bridesmaid carried a single rose with an ivory ribbon.

Serving as bestman was Leslie Delo of Janesville. Groomsmen were Steven Gaetz of Spencer, John Bloomfield of Milwaukee, Rodney Schoelzel of Curtiss and Kevin Delo of Loyal.

Flower girls were Kathi Jo Gaetz and Tammi Seefeld.

Wedding music was provided by David Yonker, who played on his guitar.

A reception and dance followed at the Sword.

The bride is a 1973 graduate of Colby High School and is employed in a dairy plant in Spencer. The groom is a 1971 graduate of Loyal High School. He is employed in a mobile home plant in Spencer and is a member of the National Guard. The newlyweds will be at home on Rt. 1 Spencer.
