Edens, William (13 February 1894-27 January 1981)

GRANTON-- Town of York native, William G. Edens, 86, Walworth, died Tuesday morning at a nursing home in Elkhorn.

The funeral will be Friday at Walworth Funeral Home.

Mr. Edens was born February 13, 1894 in the town of York and was educated in Clark County. He served during World War I and then settled in Clark County in the 1920s. He moved from here to Iron Mountain, Michigan, and in 1949 moved to Illinois and had lived in that area since.

His wife, Violet Fulwiler, died February 20, 1967.

Surviving are six children, Donald of Kingsford, Michigan, Mrs. Melvin (Dorothy) Franke of Walworth, Douglas of Fontana, Delbert of Elkhorn, Duane of Fontana, and Darell of Harvard, Illinois; one sister, Mrs. Donald (Wera) Kier of Marshfield; and one brother, Hans Edens of Hinckley, Minneosta. Two sisters are deceased.
