About 55 relatives and friends gathered for the 34th annual Merwin reunion held at Cherokee Park last Sunday. After a picnic lunch served at noon, President Ralph Remmel conducted the business meeting. Present officers were re-elected for another year.

Heads of families gave reports about themselves and their children. Several marriage and births were reported. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Merwin, Abbotsford, and Mr. and Mrs. Tony Hennlich, Curtiss, will celebrate 50th wedding anniversaries in September. Notes and letters were read from absent members.

Ben Merwin received recognition for having attended every reunion.

Mrs. Ralph Remmel, Kewaskum, Wisconsin, gave an interesting report and display concerning the Merwin genealogy, dating back to the early 1600’s.

Relatives attended from Wausau, Kewaskum, Milwaukee, and Seattle, Washington.

The 35th anniversary year reunion will be held next year at Oak Island, Wausau.
