Pribnow, Meta (19 OCT 1894 – 19 AUG 1971)

Mrs. John Pribnow, 76, Loyal, formerly of Colby, died at 3 p.m. Thursday at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire, while visiting her brother.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Loyal United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gene Carlson, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Colby Memorial Cemetery.

Order of Eastern Star services were held at 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

The former Meta Maier was born October 19, 1894 in Pigeon, Michigan.

Shew was married at Neillsville to John C. Pribnow on March 31, 1916. Following her marriage they lived in Colby until 1939, when they moved to Loyal, where they have since resided.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, are a son, John W. Pribnow, Loyal; a daughter, Mrs. George (Wavalee) Miller Jr. of Unity; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Alvin Maier, Farmington, Michigan, Walter Maier, Ferndale, Michigan, and Erich Maier, Eau Claire.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.
