Hein, Gale Marie (4 SEP 1971)

Miss Gale Marie Hein and Michael Humpal were united in marriage on Saturday, September 4, 1971 at 12 noon in St. John’s Catholic Church in Wurzberg by the Rev. Charles Schumacher.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hein, Athens and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Humpal Sr., Athens.

The bride’s father escorted her down the aisle. Alex Ellenbecker was the organist and St. John’s choir sang.

Miss Mary Hein, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and the bridesmaids were Jenny and Becky Humpal, Athens, sister of the bridegroom, and Mrs. Richard Hein, Marathon, sister-in-law of the bride.

Charles Humpal, Athens, was best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Roger Hein, Athens and Richard Hein, Marathon, brothers of the bride, and Gerald Frahm, Athens, a friend.

Ushers were Dennis Weix, Athens and Edward Humpal Jr., Milwaukee.

The bride selected a Camelot gown designed with pearls and sequins on the lace bodice and a scalloped neckline. Sequins and lace trimmed her redingote skirt, which extended into a chapel train. A lace cluster trimmed with pearls and crystals held her fingertip veil. She carried a bouquet of red and white roses, and blue mums, baby’s breath and delphiniums shaped in the form of a cross.

Her attendants wore floor length gown soft royal blue with lace bodices and cuffs on the lantern-styled sleeves. Royal blue satin bows held their mid-length veils and they carried royal blue bachelor buttons and white asters formed into a circular ball.

The dresses, veils, and bouquets were designed by the mothers, bride and bridesmaids.

The reception, dinner and dance were held at the Trianon Ballroom near Edgar.

Mrs. Edward Humpal Sr., mother of the bridegroom, made the wedding cake.

The bride, a 1969 graduate of Athens High School, is employed at Weyerhaeuser Company in Marshfield. Humpal is a graduate of Athens High School and is employed at Beck’s Company, Spencer.

After a wedding trip to western United States, the couple will make their home in Marshfield.
