Bunkelman, Matilda "Tillie" (2 February 1897-19 April 1981)

ABBOTSFORD -- Mrs. Matilda "Tillie" Bunkelman, 84, Milan, died Sunday at Continental Manor Nursing Home.

The funeral will be Tuesday at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Milan. the Rev. Leonard G. Stashek is to officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery. Grandsons of Mrs. Bunkelman will be pallbearers. Friends may call at Maurina Funeral Home.

The former Matilda Suennen was born February 2, 1897 in Chicago. On November 26, 1916 in Milan, she and Chester R. Bunkelman, Sr. were married. They farmed in the town of Johnson. She moved to Milan after her husband's death on April 10, 1966.

She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and its Altar Society and past member of Milan Homemakers Club.

Surviving are eight sons, Raymond of Chippewa Falls, Wilmer of Stetsonville, Harold, Lloyd and Gerald, all of Athens, Chester of Milan, Bernard of Edgar and Duane of Marshfield; one daughter, Mrs, Lorraine Soard of Covington, Kentucky; one sister, Mrs. Dora Greener of Chicago; 49 grandchildren; and 45 great-grandchildren. a brother is deceased.
