Descendants of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Wiersig, former Colby residents, held a reunion Saturday, October 9, 1971 at the Memorial Hall in Unity.

Buffet dinner and supper were served. Reminiscing, playing of cards, signing a guest book, reading of letters and signing cards for those unable to attend were enjoyed during the afternoon.

Members of the family present were: Mrs. Walter Wiersig, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wellman and family, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Dommer and family, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Behrens and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Reinie Wiersig, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wilhelmi and Amy, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Runzheimer, Susan and Mark, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Kobs, all of Colby. Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Runzheimer, Milan; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wiersig, Unity; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Wiersig, Judy and Beverly, Spencer; Claire and Karl Vierck, Marylee Vierck, Mrs. Donna Bujka and Roxanne and Dawn Litta and Raymond Ehlers, Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Weller, Marshfield, Edna Giebler, Elkhart Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wiersig, Ricky and Cindy, Waukesha, and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Redmann, Dean, Dawn and David, Janesville.
