Prust, Charles (21 June 1898 – 20 August 1976)

Charles Prust, 78, of Rt. 2 Granton, operator of the Triangle Tavern south of Granton, died Friday, August 20, in Neillsville. Services were held Monday from Zion American Lutheran Church in the Town of Grant with the Rev. Stephen Engelstad officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were made by the Gilbertson Funeral Home at Granton.

Mr. Prust was born June 21, 1898, in the Town of Fremont and was educated there. His marriage to the former Regina Garbisch took place December 9, 1923, in the Town of Grant. Mr. Prust retired from operating the tavern in 1973. He was a member of Zion American Lutheran Church.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include one son, Raymond Prust of Marshfield; one brother, William Prust of Louisville, Ky.; one sister, Mrs. Elsie Sternitzky of Granton; and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Oscar Krause, Martin A. Krause, Carl Krause, Carl Drescher, Martin Hillert and Victor
Braatz.

Joann Grassman played the organ for congregational singing.
