Schindler, Patricia Ann (16 OCT 1965)

St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Abbotsford, was the scene of the wedding of Patricia Ann Schindler to Gregory Krause on Saturday, October 16, 1865. The Rev. Raymond Schulz officiated over the nuptial rites.

Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schindler and Mr. and Mrs. Solomon Krause, all of Curtiss.

Attending the bride were Sally Dolter, Greendale, maid of honor, Marie Schindler and Carol Krause, bridesmaids. The groom’s attendants were John Pudlas, Neillsville, best man, and Neil Krause and Fred Schindler, groomsmen.

For her wedding, the bride wore a white crystal peau de soie gown styled with a bateau neckline, empire waist, fitted sheath skirt, a cathedral train secured at the back of the waistline by a fabric rose, and Alencon lace details on the neckline, skirt front and train. Her headpiece was a bouffant illusion veil held by a peau de soie pillbox trimmed in Alencon lace. She carried one long-stemmed Duchess Rose.

The bride’s attendants wore floor length gowns of tangerine peau de soie, styled with bateau necklines, empire waists, Sheath skirts, and back panels held by a fabric rose. Their headpieces were short bouffant veils held by covered pillboxes. They carried bouquets of bronze and yellow mums with fall fruit.

The church choir sang for the services, accompanied by Mrs. Betty Decker on the organ.

Following the ceremony was a reception at the Abbotsford Village Hall, and a dinner in the church basement. About 225 guests were present, coming from Colby, Abbotsford, Curtiss, Owen, Withee, Greenwood, Medford, Ladysmith, Loyal, Eau Claire, Westboro, Green Bay, Oshkosh, Wausau, Marshfield, Barron, Greendale, Milwaukee and Chicago.

Following a wedding trip to South Dakota and Montana, the couple will be making their home at Prentice, where the groom is principal of the elementary school.
