Boehm, Mr. / Mrs. John (63rd - 30 OCT 1965)

The 63rd wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. John Boehm of Edgar was celebrated Thursday, October 30, 1965, at the Leahy Nursing Home at Abbotsford, where Mrs. Boehm has resided since a month ago when she came from St. Mary’s Hospital, Wausau.

Mr. Boehm, who lives at their home at Edgar, will be 90 in May, and Mrs. Boehm will be 89 on November 11. The former Elizabeth Sulfoyle and John Boehm were married at Durand at St. Mary’s Catholic Church by the Rev. Sleep Whiteburn, after which they made their home at Edgar.

On the anniversary date Mr. Boehm spent the entire day with his wife at the nursing home.

The children and grandchildren of the area came and spent the evening. Gifts were opened by the honor guests and lunch was served.

Those present were Mr. and Mrs. John Lewandowski and family of Thorp, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Novitzke, Mr. and Mrs. John H. Boehm Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Knetter and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lanz, all of Edgar, and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Franz and family, Athens.
