Thorp SuperValu ‘Gets the Ball Rolling’ (Donates - 2014)
SuperValu Meat Manager Tim Stanek and SuperValu owner Doug Niemuth present a check to Al Wisniewski and Ray Rosemeyer of the Thorp Ball club.
This past spring, it was announced that a group of local baseball and softball enthusiasts were coming together to form the Thorp Ball Club, and their first major project was a rather large one: building anew, multi-diamond baseball complex in the Western Industrial Park on CTH X.
To help get the ball rolling on the organization’s fundraising for the new complex, the staff at the Thorp SuperValu put together a couple fundraising brat fry events in their parking lot during their 10-year anniversary celebration.
On Wednesday, December 10, 2014, the staff at Thorp SuperValu presented Thorp Ball Club officers Al Wisniewski and Ray Rosemeyer with a $275.00 check. The Thorp Ball Club is extremely grateful for the local business’s generosity and their willingness to help build up their community by supporting the Thorp Ball Club in their efforts.
