Bargenquast, Ida Marie (18 January 1893 - 3 December 1981)

ABBOTSFORD -- Services will be held Monday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church for Mrs. Hugo (Ida) Bargenquast, 88, Abbotsford, who died Thursday evening at Memorial Nursing Home, Neillsville.

The Rev. Emil B. Hodnik will officiate and burial will be in the Abbotsford Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Rux-Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby.

Mrs. Bargenquast, the former Ida Marie Haaensgen, was born January 18, 1893 in the town of Merytown in Fond du Lac County.

She and Hugo Bargenquast were married November 25, 1913 in New Holstein. He died January 19, 1967.

They farmed at New Holstein for five years, then farmed in the Milan area from 1918 to 1944 before locating in Abbotsford,

She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and its Altar Society.

Surviving are two sons, Ralph and Elmer Bargenquast, both of Abbotsford; a daughter, Mrs. Edmund (Sadie) Hoffman, Colby; six grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by three sisters and three brothers.
