Sachs, Otto Carl (13 January 1903 - 22 December 1981)

WITHEE - Otto Carl Sachs, 78, Withee, died today at his home. Services will be Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Withee. The Rev. Douglas R. Groenwold, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Withee. Friends may call at the Maurina Funeral Home, Owen.

Mr. Sachs was born January 13, 1903 in the town of Reseburg. He married the former Emma Widmer in 1925. She was preceded him in death. He later married Erma Bruchert February 24,, 1945. She survives.

He farmed in the town of Longwood until 1972, when he moved to Withee He was a member of St, John's Lutheran Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs., Carl (Norene) Thorne, Owen; a brother, Elmer, Owen: three sisters, Mrs. Martha Harper, Augusta, Mrs. Monnie Beranek, Chippewa Falls, and Mrs. Bertha Russell, Eau Claire, and three grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Warren on December 14, and by a brother and two sisters.
