Brehm, Delores A. (9 SEP 1924 – 27 AUG 2020)

Delores A. Brehm., age 95, of Colby, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2020, at the Waterford of Colby under the tender care of hospice. A graveside service will be held at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in the town of Johnson at a later date. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Colby is entrusted with the arrangements.

Delores was born on September 9, 1924, the daughter of Arthur and Meta (Anders) Wellman in the Town of Holton. She graduated from Colby High School. On February 23, 1943, Delores was united in marriage to Kenneth Brehm in Chicago, Ill. He preceded her in death on May 24, 2006.

Delores was better known as “Phronsie”. She was an avid birder, life-long learner, and adventurer who was a huge fan of all WI sports teams and pro golf. For many years, she and her husband owned and operated a dairy farm east of Colby.

Delores is survived by five children: Stan (Mavis) Brehm, Dan (Barb) Brehm, Joyce Brehm (Sandy Quayle), Donna Brehm (Jeff Cain) and Cathy (Mike) McCoy; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Linda Brehm; three sisters; and two brothers.
