Debra J. Winger, 64 of Stanley, died Monday, April 6, 2020 after a long fight with cancer.

She was born on April 12, 1955 to the late Joseph and Etta (Reppert) Henderson. Deb grew up in the area and graduated from Stanley-Boyd High in 1973. She married Charles Winger on August 30, 1975 at the Church of the Brethren-Stanley. Deb worked for ITT in Thorp for a time and then in food service. She loved her time serving the regulars at the Country Inn, the Renegade and most recently at Martino’s. She enjoyed camping with her family, horseback riding, fishing and being dedicated to her faith. Most importantly she loved her grandkids.

Deb is survived by her husband, Chuck, her children, Joe (Jennifer) Winger of Stanley, Josh (April) Winger of Chippewa Falls and Jenny (DJ Schnitke) Winger of Cadott, her grandchildren, Braden, Colton, Trenton, Aubrey, Adam, Hunter and Keirsten and her two brothers, Barry (Kathy) Henderson of Ladysmith and William (Debra) Henderson of Kendal.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Logan and her brothers, John, Ronald and Robert.

A private family funeral will be held at this time with burial in the South Worden (Brethren) Cemetery. A public visitation and ceremony will be held after the crisis.
