Eslinger, Harlan (Bud) William (15 January 1931 – 19 August 2020)

Harlan (Bud) William Eslinger, 89, of Chippewa Falls passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020.

Harlan was born on January 15, 1931 in Stanley to the late Jacob and Barbara (Seidling) Eslinger. Harlan married Bernadette Nayes July 12, 1956 and took over the family farm in 1962 in the Edson Township until his retirement in1994. Bernadette passed in 1977 and Harlan married Darlene Bohl October 30, 1982. He was involved with the Catholic Order of Fosters, School Board of St. Joseph School in Boyd and was on the Board of Director of Eagle Point Mutual Insurance for 27 years. Harlan will be remembered for his friendly personality, reflected in his nick name “Bud.” He liked the simpler things in life enjoying conversation with friends and strangers as well as hunting and fishing.

Harlan is survived by his wife Darlene of 37 years, his three children, Terry of Menomonie, Lenny of Stanley, Paul of Belmont MI, Grandchildren Greg, Brianna and Amanda as well as a great-grandchild, Leah. He is also survived by a sister, Marlene (Donnie) Bohl.

He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Bernadette, brother Thomas and daughter-in-law Robin.

A Service of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, Sept. 14, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Boyd, with Father William Felix officiating. Inurnment will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Town of Edson. A Memorial Visitation will be held One hour prior to the Service at the Church. Leiser Funeral Home Cadott, WI.
