Herrick, Clifford B. (1 July 1952 – 23 March 1994)

Clifford B. Herrick, 41, Stanley, died Wednesday, March 23, 1994, as a result of accidental drowning.

He was born in Chippewa Falls July 1, 1952, the son of Urban and Rosella (Glenz) Herrick. He grew up in Stanley and attended area schools. He graduated from Stanley-Boyd High School in 1970.

He married Vickie Eslinger Dec. 30, 1971,k at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Boyd. They had lived in Stanley since then, where he operated Stanley Oil Co. for 10 years and later owned and operated Cliff’s Repair since 1983.

He was a member of the Cloverland Antique Tractor Club and was a car enthusiast. He loved hunting and fishing and was an avid outdoorsman.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Tracy of Stevens Point and Laura at home; his mother, Rosella Herrick of Stanley; two sisters, Lavonne, Mrs. Curt Hose of Rubicon, and Lawanda, Mrs. Leo Kadinger of Colfax; five brothers, William (Mary Ann) of Burleson, Texas, Larry of Eau Claire, Arthur (Barbara) of Lena, Clayton of Stanley, and Carl (Loni) of Houston, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Stanley. Friends may call from 4 to 9 a.m. Friday at the Plombon Funeral home in Stanley. There will be parish vigil service at 4:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
