Winter, Arno (15 March, 1907 - 18 January 1983)

GRANTON -- Arno Winter, 75, Route ! Granton, died Tuesday at University Hospital, Minneapolis.

There will be no visitations, The Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton, is handling arrangements.

Committal services will be Thursday at Zion American Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Grant. The Rev, Maynard Stokka will officiate.

He was born March 15, 1907 in the Town of Lynn, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry (Lyda Sauter) Winter. He and Nina Stoker were married February 22, 1928 in Granton. He farmed for two years in the town of Lynn, moving in 1930 to his present farm.

He was a member of Zion American Lutheran Church and served as its president and treasurer.

Surviving are his wife, Three daughters, Mrs. George (Lola) Bloranta and Mrs. Lorraine Porath, Both of Owen, and Mrs. Glenn (Ethel) Ratlinger of Port Edwards; one son, Richard of Granton; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Norma Marg and Ruth Winter, both of Neillsville; and one brother, Celon Winter of Neillsville.

He was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers.
