Eslick, Beverly J. (15 October 1932 – 30 December 2020)

Beverly j. Eslick, 88, passed away on Wednesday evening December 30, 2020.

Bev was born in Neillsville, WI, on October 15, 1932, the daughter of Arthur and Florence (Albert) Ehlers. She was married to Eugene Newton Eslick who preceded her in death in 1979.

When Bev's mother died at an early age, she went to live with her grandparents, who she adored. During this time, she became very fond of her aunt, Jeanette Braatz, with whom she a lifelong bond. She was an avid birdwatcher and enjoyed other wildlife. She loved gardening and had certain flowers she loved trying to grow. She enjoyed picking raspberries in her garden. She liked Friday fish fries, music and dancing. As a young mother in Woodstock, IL, with Gene, she enjoyed doing family things, like biking, swimming, fishing, and camping. Nothing was more important to her than her family and she loved them very much. She will be missed by all of them, as well as by close friends.

Beverly is survived by her children, Kathy (Jack) Long of Portage, MI, Connie (Todd Teske) Gehris of Denver, CO, Kevin (Stacy) Eslick of Oregon, WI; grandchildren, Kimberly (Derik) Heumann, Jenna Long, Amanda (Kat Gamble) Gehris, Allie Gehris, Taylor Eslick, Sydney Eslick, Kennedy Eslick; great-grandchildren, Hannah Heumann and Lily Heumann, former son-in-law, Bernie Gehris.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Nathan Gehris; brother, Emil Ehlers; sister, Patricia Eddy; and a special friend, Donald Eddy.

The family is planning a private graveside celebration of her life in the spring. Bev will be laid to rest next to her husband at McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock, IL.
