Westfall, Russell Lee (19 September 1924 - 20 February 1983)

SPENCER -- Russell L. Westfall, 58, of Fairbanks, Alaska, formerly of Spencer, died Sunday at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Saturday at Spencer United Methodist Church. The Rev. Charles Strong will officiate. Burial will be in West Spencer Cemetery. Visitation will be at Rux Funeral Home, Spencer.

He was born September 19, 1924, in the Town of Brighton, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Erwin (Bernice Jacobitz) Westfall. He received his education in Spencer Schools. He never married.

He lived in Fairbanks for the past 32 years and was a mechanic for Gene's Auto. He was a member of the Studebaker Club of Fairbanks.

A veteran of World War II, he served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in the Aleutian Islands.

Surviving is his father, Erwin Westfall of Colby; two brothers, Perry Westfall of Spencer and Franklin Westfall of Milwaukee; and three sisters, Mrs. Russell (Donna) Sampson of Spencer, Mrs. Clifford (Joyce) Learned of Saukville and Mrs. Harold (Ardith) Lieckhafer of West Bend. He was predeceased by his mother.
