Sekola, Joseph J. (22 November 1922 - 10 March 1983)

NEILLSVILLE -- Services for Joseph J. Sekola, 60, of Neillsville, who was dead on arrival Thursday evening at Memorial Hospital, will be Monday at Gesche Funeral Home.

The Rev. Joseph N. Henseler of St. Mary's Catholic Church will officiate and burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Hawkins.

Mr. Sekola was born November 22, 1922 in Bessemer, Michigan. He was educated in hawkins, where he worked several years before entering the armed forces, serving in the U.S. Army during World Wr II.

After his discharge, he worked in northern Minnesota several years before returning to Hawkins, where he worked for the town and also did factory work several years. He located in Neillsville in 1962 and was employed in Marshfield for a few years before working for Kurt, Marg, Neillsville, and at the Neillsville Foundry.

Surviving are a daughter, Sheryl Sekola of Colfax; three sons, Jimmy of Bloomer, Kenneth of Frankfort, Germany, and Robert of Bloomer; a sister, Mrs. Helen Mikalas, Chicago; a brother, Frank Sekola, Ladysmith; and a grandchild.

He was predeceased by two sisters and a brother.
