With her heart full of love, Virgean Catherine Zahn “Tiny”, 90, of Spencer, made her journey to heaven on Monday, February 22, 2021.

Virgean (nee Hebert) was born November 26, 1930 to Lloyd and Julia Hebert. She was one of 9 siblings.

On December 27, 1952 she was united in marriage to Gordon Zahn. Virgean’s life work included bookkeeper at Picus IGA, retail at Kickapoo gas station, and Spencer School District as a librarian assistant.

Virgean will be fondly remembered for her love of the Brewers and Badgers, game shows, lottery tickets, ‘the girls at Spencer Kwik Trip’ and reading.

Virgean was reunited with her family in heaven including her parents, her husband, and all of her sib-lings.

She is loved and missed by her children, Priscilla (Steven) Peterson, Jim (Teresa) Zahn, Juleen (Harold) Vogel, Jeff (Mary) Zahn, Jerry (Laura) Zahn, John (Cindy) Zahn, Jenny (Doug) Leonhardt. Her memory will live on through many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who she loved very much.

Per her request, no funeral services will be held; however, a private committal service for immediate family will be on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at West Spencer Cemetery in the Town of Sherman, Clark County for graveside services.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Palliative Care Team on 4 North at Marshfield Medical Center for their compassionate care.
