Sladek, Helen (? - 28 August 1976)

Word has been received here belatedly of the death August 28 of Mrs. Helen Sladek, 62, of Pinedale, Ca. She died in a Racine hospital following a brief illness.

Mrs. Sladek was born in Chili, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Henning. She later moved to Wadsworth, Il. then, in 1942 to Kenosha, where she remained until 1976, when she went to Pinedale, Ca., to make her home with a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Audrey) Awtrey.

Mrs. Sladek attended school in Chili and was graduated from Marshfield High School. She was employed at the Holiday Village from 1935 until 1963, and from 1963 until her retirement in 1976 at Southern Colony, Kenosha.

Surviving in addition to Mrs, Awtrey are a son, Larry L. of Kenosha; four sisters, Miss Dora Henning of Tacoma, Wa., Mrs. Everett (Alma) Schilling of Covington, Oh., Mrs. Walter (Ella) Elmhorst and Mrs. Gordon (Alice) Ritter, both of Chili.
