Skibbe, Oscar (25 Feb 1913 – 28 Jan 1976)

The Rev. Donald Stats, pastor of the United Church of Christ in Owen, conducted services at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home, Owen, for Oscar Skibbe, 62, of 1640 Riverwood Lane, Wisconsin Rapids, a native of Stetsonville. He died Wednesday morning, January 28, 1976 at Riverview Hospital, Wisconsin Rapids.

Burial was made in the Withee Riverside Cemetery.

Born February 25, 1913 at Stetsonville, Mr. Skibbe was a construction foreman at Waukegan, Ill. for 30 years before retiring to Wisconsin Rapids two years ago. He received his education in the Stetsonville schools.

Mr. Skibbe married the former Hilda Evelyn Wedin on October 8, 1940, at Highland Park, Ill. She survives.

Other survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Foltz, Marshfield, Mrs. Ella Porter, Waterloo, and Mrs. Clara Keller, Stetsonville, and two brothers-in-law, Otto Wedin, Libertyville, Ill. and Walter Wedin, Sioux City, Iowa.
