Gassen, Virginia (Award - 1976)

Mrs. Virginia Gassen, county office assistant at the Farmers Home Administration in Neillsville, was presented with a certificate of merit and $200 cash award at the district FmHA meeting November 5 in Eau Clare. Del Whelan, district director, made the presentation. Mrs. Gassen has been with the agency for 23 years.
The certificate cites Mrs. Gassen for: “dedicated and loyal service to the mission of the Farmers Home Administration and for superior performance while on a special task force for the Rural Rental Housing Program, assisting finance office personnel and other county offices throughout the state.” Mrs. Gassen spent the months of March through May of this year on temporary duty in the national office in St. Louis, where she worked primarily with the rural rental housing program.
In a letter notifying her of the award, Willis H. Capps, state FmHA director, stated that “The agency is very fortunate to have your assistance in the Rural Rental Housing Program and we are proud to have you with us.”
