Olson, Diane Marie (16 April 1977)

St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Abbotsford was the setting for the April 16 wedding of Miss Diane Marie Olson and William John Dahl. The Rev. Emil Hodnik officiated at the ceremony joining the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Olson of Abbotsford and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Erlin Dahl of Granton.

The bride wore a white, hooped gown trimmed with iridescent, pearls and sequins and featuring Rachel lace, a fitted waistline, Sabrina neckline and chapel train. Her profile headpiece held an elbow length veil. She carried an arrangement of Easter Lilies and pink carnations with green ivy as she was presented in marriage by her parents.

Diane Kronberger, Neillsville, was the honor attendant and Patricia Dahl and Nancy Dahl, both of Granton were the bridesmaids. They appeared in pink pastel gowns trimmed with white lace and complimented by pink hats. Pink carnations and white mums with baby’s breath formed their bouquets.

Attending the groom were Steven Walters, Granton, as bestman and Michael Olson and DuWayne Olson, both of Abbotsford, and Gary Dahl, Granton.

Jane Polnasek was the organist and Sue Viegut, the soloist.

A reception was held at the Trianon Ballroom.

The new Mrs. Dahl, an Abbotsford High School graduate, is employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield as a nurse’s aide. Her husband graduated from Granton High School and is engaged in farming. The newlyweds planned to travel out West on their wedding trip. They will make their home on Rt. 1 Granton.
