Lamont, Margaret R.(23 July 1977)

Marriage vows were exchanged Saturday, July 23, at St. Mary’s church in Colby by Margaret R. Lamont of Greenwood and Daniel E. Schield, DDS, of Neillsville. The Rev, Francis Rushman officiated at the 5 p.m. wedding Mass, which was followed by a dinner, reception and dance at the Neillsville Country Club.

The bride, presented in marriage by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Angus Lamont of Colby. Dr. and Mrs. Carroll N. Schield, Neillsville, are the groom’s parents.

For her wedding day, the bride chose a gown of white nylon organza over taffeta trimmed with Venice lace and Pearls held a scalloped fingertip veil. Roses, mums and forget-me-nots formed her bouquet.

Mrs. Craig Marvin, Sheboygan Falls, was the matron of honor and Mrs. John Koschak, Greenwood, was the bridesmaid. They wore floor length gowns of light blue knit and carried arrangements of daisies and carnations with blue tint. Ms. Jodi Harris, Holmen, was the flower girl.

Attending the groom were Joe Schield, Neillsville, as bestman and Peter Manz, Burnsville, Mn., as groomsmen. Ushering duties were shared by Mike Lamont, Colby, and David Schield and Jim Schield, Neillsville.

Mrs. Gabriel, Colby, was the organist and Mrs. George Mullings of Wauwatosa and Mrs. U.C. Jonas, Jr., of Milwaukee were the vocalists.

The new Mrs. Schield graduated from Colby High School in 1970 and from the UW-Eau Claire in 1974. She is employed as a speech and language clinician at Greenwood. Her husband graduated from Neillsville High School in 1964, did undergraduate work at St. Louis University and at the UW-Eau Claire, and graduated from Marquette University in 1972.
