Schlinsog, Ann Frances (24 September 1977)

Miss Ann Frances Schlinsog became the bride of Todd Louis Thies in a 10:30 a.m. ceremony performed Saturday, September 24, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Menomonie by Pastor Roe. A dinner was served afterward at the Logg Inn Supper Club on Tainter Lake.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Schlinsog, Rt. 2 Granton, and Mrs. Roy P. Thies, Watertown. Attending the wedding from Neillsville were the bride’s grandmother, Mrs. George Prochazka, and Mrs. Stella Davis.

The bride appeared in an entrained gown of white chiffon over nylon adorned with embroidered flowers and fashioned with long, chiffon sleeves caught by lace cuffs, a V-neckline accented with a stand-up collar of white lace, and three rows of lace encircling the hemline. She carried long-stemmed red roses and wore miniature red roses and baby’s breath in her hair as she was presented in marriage by her father.

Attendants were Cindy Luckmann of Milwaukee and Gregory David of Watertown. Miss Luckmann’s blue Swiss print gown was styled with a V-neckline trimmed with lace.

A graduate of Granton High School and of the UW-Stout with a bachelor of science degree, the new Mrs. Thies is employed as a cook at the Eau Claire health care center. Her husband, a graduate of Watertown High School who attended Stout for five years, is manager and part-owner of the James, William, Todd Company. Following a wedding trip to Northern Wisconsin and Michigan, the newlyweds are making their home on Rt. 2 Colfax.
