Naedler, Mr. and Mrs. William (Golden – 19 October 1977)

The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. William Naedler, Sr., was celebrated on Saturday, October 15, at the Bali Hai Supper Club a Neillsville. Linda Schwantes and Wm. Naedler were married on October 19, 1927, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Neillsville, by the Rev. H. Brandt.

All wedding attendants were present at the anniversary celebration. These included Gladys Bruss, now Mrs. Arnold Beaver, West Bend; Hilbert Naedler, Neillsville; Marilyn Schwantes, now Mrs. Ervin Viegut, Athens; Erwin Greeler; Neillsville; and Anita Bruss, now Mrs. Gladwin Bock, Allen Park, Mi.

Mrs. Naedler was born in Spencer and attended schools there. Mrs. Naedler was born on a farm south of Neillsville. He attended a rural school and St. John’s Lutheran School in Neillsville. He was a member of the Clark County Board of Supervisors for eleven years, chairman of the Town of York for twelve years and was on the Granton School Board six years. Mr. and Mrs. Naedler are members of the Zion Lutheran Church of Granton, where Mr. Naedler served in various church offices. They are now retired and live on Rt. 1 Granton. Both enjoy fishing at their cabin in northern Wisconsin.

The celebration was given by their children. Ninety-three relatives and friends were present. They have three children, Marvin Naedler, Irene, now Mrs. Dennis Schwarz, and Wm. D. Naedler.

Friends and relatives were present from Escanaba, Mi., Allen Park, Mi., Chicago, Neillsville, Granton, Stratford, Marshfield, Abbotsford, Athens, Wausau, Fort Atkinson, Edgerton, Janesville, Beloit, West Bend, Milwaukee, West Allis, Elm Grove, Oconto Falls, Wisconsin Rapids, Wauwatosa, Spencer and Marion.
