Castner, Eveline A. (5 May 1895 – 24 December 1977)

Funeral services were to be held Wednesday, December 28, from Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville for Mrs. Eveline A. Castner, 82, Rt. 1 Humbird, who died December 24 at Neillsville Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Castner, the wife of the late George Castner, who died in 1958, was born in Osseo, educated in the Humbird area and farmed with her husband in the Town of Mentor. She passed away after a lingering illness.

Born on May 5, 1895 to Ole Olson and Ella Franklin Olson, Mrs. Castner is survived by three children, Arthur and Clarence of Humbird, and Mrs. Richard (Lillie) Sischo, Neillsville; also survived by one sister, Mrs. Rose Smith, Alma, and twelve grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, five brothers and three sisters.

Officiating at the services was the Rev. D.E. Sprague, Neillsville. Burial was to be made in the Town of Mentor Cemetery.

Castner, Eveline A. (5 May 1895 – 24 December 1977)

The La Crosse and Humbird areas produced many out of town guest for the funeral of Eveline Castner, 82, held December 28 from Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville.

With the Rev. D.E. Sprague of the Neillsville Assembly of God Church officiating, Eveline Castner was buried in the Town of Mentor Cemetery, Humbird. Pallbearers include John Pagenkopf, Ricky Sischo, Randy Sischo, Richard Sischo, Jr., Ronald Sischo and Richard Sischo, Sr.

Those attending from out of town included Joyce, Mable and Mrs. Norman Olson, of La Crosse; Unita and Wilson O’Leary and Helen Fitzmaurice, of Humbird, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Walker and Tammy, Blooming Prairie, Mn. and Linda Sischo, Rochester, Mn.; and numerous friends from Neillsville.
