Stoddard, Bernice (13 December 1925 – 19 January 1978)

Mrs. Wesley (Bernice) Stoddard, 52, of Merrillan, died of cancer Thursday, January 19, in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. She was born on December 13, 1925, in Wisconsin to Mr. and Mrs. George (Naomi Cook) Geisler. She married Wesley Stoddard at Black River Falls on June 18, 1943. She had worked at Dadco Products, Inc., in Black River Falls from its opening until retiring about a year ago because of illness.

Survivors include her husband, three sons, Wesley, Jr., and Robert, both of Merrillan, and Larry of Black River Falls, a brother, George of Merrillan, and three sisters, Mrs. John (Wilma) Miller of Merrillan, Mrs. Harland (Frances) Larson of Black River Falls and Mrs. LeRoy (Jean) Stafford of Eau Claire; and eleven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda.

Services were held Monday afternoon in the Merrillan Church of Christ with the Rev. Dennis Frazier officiating. Burial was in the Fairchild Cemetery. The Jensen Funeral Home of Hixton was in charge of arrangements.
