Falk, Agnes (27 March 1915 – 10 January 1979)
Mrs. Clyde (Agnes) Falk, 63, Hatfield, died Wednesday, January 10, in Black
River Memorial Hospital, at Black River Falls. She was born March 27, 1915, in
the Town of Millston, Jackson County, to Emil and Agnes (Moutvic) Krametbauer.
She married Clyde Falk on November 15, 1935, and they lived in Hatfield.
She was a graduate of Black River Falls High School, class of 1931, and from the
teacher’s training department. She taught school in Jackson County, including
the Pine Vale School, which she had attended, Sandy Plains, Hatfield, and
Wrightsville schools.
Mrs. Falk returned to school and received a degree in elementary education from
UW-La Crosse. From 1955 until her retirement in 1977, she taught at the Third
Street and Forrest Street Elementary Schools in Black River Falls.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. John (Barbara) Hartley of
Chapel Hill, N.C., and Mrs. Robert (Lorraine) DeLong of Black River Falls; a son
David, Denver, Co.; two brothers, Charles Krametbauer of Black River Falls and
George of Arcata, Ca.; three sisters, Mrs. Vlasta Koran of Chicago, Ill., and
Mrs. Theodore (Amelia) Stenulson and Mrs. Theodore (Helen) Bunde, both of Black
River Falls; and three grandchildren. A sister preceded her in death.
Services were held Saturday afternoon in the Charles Buswell Funeral Home with
the Rev. Calvin W. Carey officiating. Burial was made in the Oakwood Cemetery at
Merrillan.
