Sugg, Thomas B. (2 April 1909 – 19 May 1978)

Funeral services were held Monday for Thomas B. Sugg, 69, who passed away at his home after a lingering illness on May 19. Sugg, of 29 Clay Street, Neillsville, was born April 2, 1909, to Henry and Mary (Wise) Sugg in Henderson, Ky. He also received his education in that area and later moved to Chicago where he worked for the Victor Comptometer Corporation. He married Ruth Olson on April 10, 1948, in Chicago. After retirement, he and his wife moved to Neillsville.

Surviving are his wife, and two sisters, Mrs. Luke (Georgia) Crafton of Henderson, Ky. and Mrs. Katherine Brumley of Jackson, Tn. Preceding him in death were his parents and eight brothers and sisters.

At the 2:00 p.m. services, the Rev. Gary Clark of the Neillsville United Church of Christ officiated. Mae Peters sang “Just As I Am” and “Rock Of Ages,” accompanied by Deon Spangler. The burial was made in the Greenwood City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Roy Olson, Herb Olson, Jake Barr, Fred Barr, Mike Weyhmiller and Ervin Steiger. The Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Those attending the services included Mr. and Mrs. Luke Crafton, Mrs. Alan Williams and Bob Crafton of Henderson, Ky.; Mrs. Catherine Brumley, Jackson, Tn.; Mrs. Roderick Lewis, Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Olson, New London; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Olson, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hamilton, Onalaska; Mrs. John Eckberg, St. Cloud, Mn.; and Lois Guest, Neillsville.
