Haines, Burton (10 November 1906 – 2 July 1978) With Flag

Funeral services were to be held in Milwaukee, Thursday, July 6, for Burton Haines, Rt. 3 Neillsville, who passed away at his home, July 2, following a lingering illness.

Haines, 71, was born in Oconto, November 10, 1906, to William and Alta Haines. He received his education in that community and Abrams and then worked for Rex Chainbelt, Inc., of West Allis. He married Agnes Ensor, in Milwaukee, October 18, 1932.

Haines saw action in World War II having entered the U.S. Navy in 1943 and serving through 1945. After discharge, he again worked for the Milwaukee firm, until retirement in 1969 when he moved to Neillsville.

Surviving besides his wife is one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Evelyn) Yordy, Lebanon, Pa., one brother, Wilber, Tillamook, Ore., and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Prior to Milwaukee services at the Borgwardt and Sons Funeral Home, visitation was to be held Wednesday evening at the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Burial was to be made in the Highland Memorial Park, Milwaukee.
